Convertible Car Rental in Rhodes

Most of the convertibles here use an insulated fabric roof: lighter, quicker to fold, and it leaves more boot space when it is down. The Peugeot 308 CC is the exception with a retractable steel roof, which turns it into a genuinely quiet coupé for the drive home after dinner.

For a hot island, the practical difference is smaller than the brochures suggest. Both types are air conditioned, and both are perfectly comfortable closed. Choose the hard top if you value quiet and security; choose a soft top if you want the roof down more often and with less fuss.

Most of the cabrios we show are automatic, and on Rhodes that is the right default. The coastal road through Faliraki and Kolymbia is stop-start in season, and Rhodes Town traffic in August rewards a car that changes its own gears.

The manual T-Roc Cabrio remains for drivers who prefer it, particularly on the mountain roads towards Attavyros where holding a gear on a climb is more satisfying than letting the box hunt.

Every convertible here is registered for four people, but the rear seats differ enormously. The Cascada and the Audi A3 Cabrio take two adults behind for an hour comfortably. The MINI Cabrio's rear bench is realistically for children or bags.

Luggage is the harder constraint. Two suitcases is the norm; the Cascada takes three, the MINI one. If you are four adults arriving with four cases, book two smaller cars rather than hoping — nothing here will take them with the roof mechanism stowed.

Every car on this page is booked as that exact car, not as a vague vehicle class. That matters in Rhodes, where 'or similar' often means you collect something quite different from the photograph you chose.
