Automatic Cabrio Rental in Rhodes

Rhodes driving is not steady motorway work. It is stop-start along the Ixia strip, first gear behind a coach on the climb to Lindos's car parks, and a lot of hill starts in villages with no run-off. An automatic removes all of that, which is why the automatics are the first to go in July and August.

It also matters if you are the second driver on the booking. Anyone who learned on an automatic at home will be relaxed in one of these from the first roundabout out of the airport.

The T-Roc Cabrio automatic is the tall one — the most comfortable over broken inland surfaces and the one that takes two large suitcases. The Audi A3 Cabrio is the quietest at speed on the east-coast road. The Opel Cascada is the roomiest in the back seats for four adults on short hops.

The MINI Cooper Cabrio automatic exists in both petrol and diesel as two separate cars, so check which one your dates return. The Peugeot 308 CC folds a hard roof, which makes it the closest thing here to a normal coupé in the evening.

The automatic convertibles carry a €400 security deposit, in cash or blocked on a card, released after the car comes back in good order. A card block usually disappears within one to three working days. The Fiat 500 Cabrio automatic is the exception in the fleet with no deposit at all.

Child and booster seats are €5 per day and should be added to the reservation rather than requested at the desk, because they are fitted before the car goes out.
